Tour

Going roads and off roads trough north-west of Russia
from 13th July to 3th August 2007. ruta

Route: Moscow - Starica - Ostashkov - Peno - Kholm - Staraya Russa - Novgorod - Sankt Peterburg. More...

Tour aim: Getting to know history, culture, nature and people of Russia by riding our bicycles on roads and off roads in north west of Russia.

Description: Cycling expedition stars in Moscow. We will ride mostly on non-main roads in northwest of Russia. We will visit Dedovsk, Volokolamsk, Starica, lake Seliger and Peno, Staraya Russa, lake Iljmenj, Novgorod and we will end our tour in Sankt Peterburg.

How: Participants of expedition will cover the whole route by bicycles. Per day they will ride between 80 and 100 kilometers on average. They will buy food and necessary supplies in stores they pass by. Participants will sleep in mini-camps they form each night. They will carry complete camping equipment with themselves.

Departure and return:
Departure from Belgrade by plane on 13.07.2007.
Return from Sankt Peterburg trough Moscow by plane on 03.08.2007.

Tour duration: 23 days

Tour length: 1300 kilometers
